【陳如嬌／台北報導】交通部統計，去年交通事故中，其中交通工具是機車的死亡人數是1201人，佔所有交通工具死亡人數的一半，交通部道路交通安全督導委員會今天在部務會報中表示，新北市政府在汽機車交織路口或路段的危險熱區，鋪設磚紅色鋪面提醒注意，實施前後肇事件數降低47.37%，交通部長葉匡時裁示，既然有成效，就應推廣讓各縣市政府知道，並先在都會區的易肇事或汽機車交織路口或路段鋪設磚紅色鋪面，以「顏色管理」，讓駕駛人能清楚辨識。

另外，現行只要取得汽車駕照的駕駛人，不須經筆試通過就能駕駛輕型機車。道安會表示，因駕駛特性不一樣，汽車和機車的考題應有所區別，將請主管機關研議取消有汽車駕照無須再經筆試、就可駕駛輕型機車的規定。
