【王玉樹／台北報導】環保署今天下午進行「彰濱工業區環境影響調查書」環評第6次初審，審查該區的空氣污染排放因應對策。但台灣水資源保育聯盟等環團會前再次到環保署前抗議。聯盟指出，11年來國人主要癌症死因中，氣管、支氣管和肺癌始終佔第1位，顯示中部空污已非常嚴重，彰化當地不能再發展任何污染工業，請環保署退回工業局報告，並廢止1999年所訂彰濱工業區空污染總量草案，在經濟部通過中部空污總量之前，不能再針對彰濱地區訂定空污總量。

但環保署表示，環保署就是於2010年發現以前的彰濱工業區空污排放總量暫定量核可過大，才要求他們重新提出符合現況的彰濱工業區空污總量給環保署審查，這反而是對彰濱空污嚴格把關。
