緬甸總統首度視察若開邦

緬甸總統添盛(Thein Sein)今天(1日)展開對若開邦(Rakhine)的首度視察，若開邦1年多前爆發佛教徒和穆斯林間的流血暴力衝突，至今仍潛藏暴力威脅。

添盛這次視察若開邦3天，就在上個週末，若開邦的譚德威鎮(Thandwe)爆發縱火滋事騷亂，數十棟房屋遭縱火或破壞。

緬甸人民主要信奉佛教，2012年6月曾爆發佛教徒和穆斯林間的暴力衝突，有數百人被殺，並有多達14萬穆斯林為躲避災難而逃離家園。

總統府辦公室1位要求匿名的資深官員說，添盛已於今天抵達若開邦首府實兌(Sittwe)，並將前往內陸的「妙烏(Mrauk-U)」視察。
